1 BLACK MAN IS KILLED EVERY 28 HOURS BY POLICE OR VIGILANTES

THE PROJECT

We as The People Project would like to shed some light on the racial injustice blacks face everyday. Some of our many battles include institutionalized racism, mass incarceration, and police brutality. One of the goals of this project is to help restore damaged local black owned buisnesses around Baltimore. We also as an organization are focusing on spreading knowledge about recent cases that call for us as a people to take action. We are protesting, spreading the word, and trying to help make our transition into a revolution as smooth as possible. It is time for a change and our people deserve equality. #BlackLivesMatter #NoJusticeNoPeace

THE HARD TRUTH

1,529 Blacks were killed in arrest related cases in 2003-2009.

2,787 minorities were killed in total.

Black males are 21 times more likely to be killed by law enforcement since 2009.

Blacks, age 15 to 19, were killed at a rate of 31.17 per million in 2010-2012, while just 1.47 per million white males in that age range died at the hands of police.

Even more shocking than these few statistics we provided include the simple fact that this world is becoming increasingly more dangerous for us and our future minority children. It may be 21% more dangerous for black males now. What will the percentage be when our own black children reach the 15-19 age group. There are many organizations of people from all ethnic groups struggling to impliment change now because of the lack of support from our communities. We as people, as a population, as leaders need to start helping our fellow brothers and sisters impliment change by aiding in the cause to fight for equality. You can do this by joining your local groups, protesting, and of course donating to some of these groups.
